Hi! I’m Augustus…

I value respect, courage, and authenticity, which I strive to embody in all my work, whether I’m coaching, cooking, or collaborating. I support individuals who want to fully understand themselves, define what they want, and experience life without external bias or outside influence.

I stand for mutual respect, deep listening, courageous living (vulnerability), curiosity around perspective, the exercise of self-compassion and the presence of an authentic spirit.

I am an artist and entrepreneur and from Scottsdale, Arizona. I Graduated from Cornell College in 13’ with a BA in Biology and post graduate certifications in Ayurvedic Science, +700hr Yoga Teacher Training, Reiki II, Sound Healing II, Life Coaching II and Non-Violent Communication.

I serve the community through catering health-based retreats, private events and through mentoring and private cooking as Solace Eats and Augustus Taylor Coaching. Through integrated studies in health, science, and the healing arts, I co-create events, recipes, and coaching containers for individuals and groups in the development of a network of resources for self-study and a global community designed to inspire the senses and create conscious connection.

As a Transgender person living and working in a binary culture where what I look like is more important than how I feel, self-care is the only way I know how to survive. Sensitivity is key to unlocking the intelligence of nature within our cells. When I am sensitive and attuning my behaviors to health means I am aware of the energy I am taking in and that which I am becoming or is becoming me.

Plant based food practice started early with my father, a single father who raised me to cook with him and who inspired an incessant curiosity for the connection between global health and food. My father lived nine years through four bouts of cancer to exist as the only person ever alive delivering self-dialysis and persisting in life with less than 20% function of one kidney and he did this through understanding the sensitive dynamics between the food we eat and our cellular output.

My journey since then has brought me to Nepal twice to study the ancient science of Ayurveda and connect with a cultural heritage rich with principals of self-mastery and a consciousness that the body given the right conditions can regenerate its self and is inclined to health.
